FOOD ART
PENCIL 1ST. SCANNED BLACK ONLY, THEN COLORED WITH PC
I drew all I could see as often as possible...Then, slowly but surely, I began to get "creative" or "dillusional", you pick.
The drawings started getting more random in form and a bit more abstract. My childhood notebooks began to be littered with doodles, sketches and other random markings.
A distraction from my studies..? Maybe. Attention from others for the neat things I would come up with..? Sometimes. An outlet for my mind..? For SURE...
Drawing became more than a way to express myself, it became a way to communicate with the inner me also. Have you ever had a dream and wondered what the hell it meant..? Well, the same can be said for the art that flows from my hands sometimes....
And with the creation comes a sigh from the release, but also a round of new questions...Such as what motivates the mind to translate thoughts into images we can see in the real world. In essence, the pen became a catalyst for the inside of the "young" me.
to be continued....

Ever since I can remember...From a child with
crayons to a young man with too many doodles in his notebooks. I have always had a very short attention span.
Thank God my mother and family were nurturing to this "affliction". Out of a need to express and create, I was given the ability to draw at a very young age. My mother got me a dinousaur blanket and an art tablet for my fourth birthday (the only gifts I can remember from that b-day). A few years later, my grand father sent my father and I to the art store in the Charleston Town Center to buy some art supplies for his "bogey" as he called me... I returned with an easel, pastel chalks, charcoals, art pencils, paper and some other goodies........
